Monday June 27, 2016 Hi everyone, We are in Thermopolis, Wy. My cousin Beth and her husband Steve came up from Casper, Wy on Saturday. We had a great visit and a wonderful lunch. It was great to catch up!! Hopefully we will meet up again halfway or maybe a visit for Florida. Yesterday we went to the Prehistoric Museum. This place was awesome!! They also have a dig site close by. Wyoming has a prehistoric history that is insurmountable to any other state. That rock formations around here date back to 150 million years ago (hard to imagine). Have a great day everyone, Debbie and Jim

Wednesday June 22,2016 Hi Everyone, We went and did another run at Arches today. We went back and took a couple of smaller hikes to see Arches that we missed yesterday. It has been extremely hot here so we have been getting up at 6:00 am and at the park by 7:00. Last night at 7:00 it was still 105 degrees and the air is just as hot. Today we saw Pothole Arch, Double Arch, North and South Window and Turret Arch. The views in Arches our breath taking and a must on anyone's bucket list. We would not hesitate to come back but maybe in a cooler month, LOL. Enjoy the views, Debbie and Jim

Tuesday June 21, 2016 Hi Everyone, Jim and I arrived in Moab yesterday. Again we have a beautiful view with Mountains all around us. We went to Arches National Park today. We were able to see Balancing Rock, Sand Dune Arch, Broken Arch and Delicate Arch Viewpoint. I am proud of Jim and I as the walk to the Delicate Arch Viewpoint is considered a difficult trail and is 3 miles long a lot of it up hill again. Even though Jim and I were huffing and puffing so were the 10 year olds. The elevation change 480 feet and part of the climb is on sliderock. We plan to go back tomorrow and see was we missed today. We will leave early with plenty of water as right now is 112 outside. Again our pictures can't explain the beauty we have seen. The geologist are still studying this area as fossils are still being found in this area. I do admire the people that work at the National Parks. Even though Jim and I have a senior pass to get into all the National Parks we always leave a donation. As you might not be aware of our National Parks are underbudget by our government. The people that work for the National Park Service do love what they do it is too bad our government is underbudgeting our National treasures. This year the National Park Service is celebrating 100 years. If you can visit a National Park this year. Having fun, Jim and Debbie

Thursday June 16, 2016 I feel like such a slacker, but really it has been a lack of internet service. RV places offer it but they do not promise it. Our last day at Hatch we went back to Bryson and visited Inspirational Point and Sunset. Again we were amazed at the beauty of these Canyons and rock formations. After our visit we went to the quaint little town of Panguitch. There we did some grocery shopping, had lunch and visited some of the local shop. We have enjoyed our time at Zion and Bryson and would not hesitate to coming back.
Friday June 17, 2016 Our drive from Hatch to Monument Valley was beautiful. We got to see a deer up close and personal not because we wanted to but because this deer decided to go across the road as Jim was doing 60. Luckly for the deer and us he made it across the road but not before we got the deer in the headlights look from the deer. LOL. Our RV site is beautiful and surrounded by big red mountains. Our trip to Monument Valley today was amazing. Monument Valley is a Navajo Tribal Park and covers 130,000 square miles of the Colorado Plateau. The Navajo Nation among its 29,817 square miles of endless geological wonders lies in a hidden valley that John Wayne called "Gods Treasure". MV sits at 5,564 ft. above sea level and extends into Arizona and Utah. The height of the monuments range from 100 feet to 1,500 feet and my pictures do not do these formations any justice, you really have to see them for yourself. This is truly a place where time has stood still and if you stand there long enough you can feel the harmony and peace. The people that still live inside this park do so by simple living as they do not have electricity and some live without running water into their adobes. I bought a bracelet from Caroline who lives in MV with her family and they do not have electricity. Their entertainment is nature and a radio. Caroline is living on the same piece of land that goes back generations and was contented with her life. Her handmade jewelry is a gem. Happy Trails, Jim and Debbie
