Hello All,
We
are still waiting for the vacation to begin. LOL It seems like that is
all we have done for the last two weeks is picking up pieces from the
storm in San Antonio. We did have our windshield fixed today, yeah!!!
We did find out when we pulled our awning out that we do have about 12
holes in the awning that we will have to get fix.
We
did make it down to the historical part of Las Cruces called Mesilla or
Little Table. The Mesilla Plaza is one of the few remaining in New
Mexico that appears in the early years. The sidewalk was red brick.
The shops are the traditional adobe structures. We ate lunch at LaPosta
which has been in business since 1939. It is said that Pat Garrett
was killed in Mesilla. One of the shops was the old courthouse that
Bill the Kidd was on trial and hung in the town square.
Again
it is a small world. We went into an oil and spice shop and the shop
owner use to work in Tavares, FL which is real close to where we live.
On to Tombstone tomorrow!!!
Love to all,
Jim and Debbie
